P-6 Farms Fall Fest — Montgomery

Where: 9963 Poole's Road, Montgomery
When: Weekends through November 8, 2026
Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (admission ends at 5:30 PM)
Admission: $25.95 in-season; children 35 months and younger free

If you only make it to one fall event this October, this is the one. P-6 Farms is the quintessential Montgomery County fall outing, and it's about as hyperlocal as this list gets.

One admission ticket gets you into 25+ attractions: the corn maze, pumpkin patch, flower fields, Farmer Bo's Pig Races, a roller coaster, vintage rides, a giant slide, the pumpkin house, antique tractors, a fun house, the animal barn and plenty of fall photo backdrops. Pumpkins and flowers you pick, food, drinks, apple blasters and paintball are extra.

Mark your calendar for October 10-11, when P-6 hosts a Butterfly Release Weekend — a nice add-on if you're already planning a visit that weekend.

Whether you're bringing kids or grandkids, or simply looking for a proper Texas fall afternoon, P-6 gives you everything in one outing — pumpkins, corn maze, farm animals and festival food.

Texas Renaissance Festival — Todd Mission

Where: 21778 FM 1774, Todd Mission
When: Weekends, October 10-November 29, plus Thanksgiving Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM (no entry after 7:00 PM)

Technically just outside Montgomery County, the Texas Renaissance Festival is close enough to Magnolia and Montgomery, and iconic enough, that it belongs on any local fall list. This is one of the region's signature autumn traditions, and 2026 marks another full season of themed weekends.

If you've never been, it's easy to assume it's just people walking around in costumes. In reality, it's a full day of entertainment: stage performances throughout the grounds, jousting, live music, comedy acts, artisan demonstrations, themed characters, and extensive food, drink and shopping. Costumes are entirely optional — plenty of visitors come in regular clothes and have just as much fun.

Opening weekend is October 10-11, and the festival runs well into late November, so there's no rush to catch it in October specifically. It's an easy day trip that rewards planning ahead — wear comfortable shoes and expect to be there most of the day.

  • Saturday, October 10: 11:00 AM - 12:00 AM
  • Sunday, October 11: Noon - 6:00 PM

If your idea of fall involves fewer pumpkins and more things jumping out at you in the dark, this is your event.

Guests can also stop by the on-site Parrot's Nest Bar & Grille during event hours, making it easy to turn the night into a full outing.

Dates, hours and pricing for seasonal haunted attractions can shift, so it's worth a quick check of current listings before you head out.
